What is your style of photography?
I use both traditional and photojournalistic depending on what is happening when I shoot a photograph. I love a more photojournalistic style of shooting because I love to capture shots in the moment. I love seeing people laugh and showing different emotions. Have no fear you will have fun when I'm near!
Do you customize packages?
Yes I do! I understand your wedding is unique and you all have your own needs and budgets. Contact me to tell me what you are looking for and I will make a package for you!
Will you hold my date for me?
I won’t be able to hold a date for you because bookings are first come, first serve.
When should I book you?
The sooner the better! Sessions will book sooner usually within 6 months and most weddings will start to book 8 months out. However, if your dates are sooner than this, please contact me as there may be last minute cancellations or I could be available.
What is needed to retain your services?
1. Date: Get in touch with me to let me know what date you are interested in at this time. I'll check my availability.
2. Contract and Questionnaire: Let's have a consultation on the phone or in person about your wedding or session. Then I will collect the information needed for the contract and our photography session.
3. Retainer: After our call, I'll send you a contract to review and sign and an invoice for payment. There is a 50% non-refundable retainer fee to book your event or session. The payment can be made by cash, money order, certified check, or credit card. This is the final step in your booking process, so after that is complete, you are officially booked!
4. Final Payment: The final payment for your wedding or session can be made by cash, money order, certified check, or credit card 2 weeks before your event.
Do you recommend an engagement session?
Absolutely! This will give me time to get to know you and you get to know me! Contact me for more information!
How long should I set aside for the “formal” portraits during a wedding?
Usually it will take about an hour. When taking photos with your family these tend to be more formal. Once we start to take photos with the bridal party and the bride and groom we will have a little traditional mixed in with a little contemporary. Things which affect the creativity of the shots will depend on the wedding party size, location, and the structure of the day. Remember, the more time you have for “formals” the more freedom we will have to be creative. We can also set aside time during pre-ceremony to get some of the shots done to give use more time during the “formal” time.
What is the turnaround time on photography images, albums, or prints?
It will usually take from 4 to 6 weeks to get your photography images, albums, or prints.
Do I offer discounts?
Yes I do! There is a 10% discount to those in the military, fire department, police force, or teachers. You must present a valid id.
What if my event falls on a holiday or holiday weekend?
There will be a 25% surcharge on any event landing on a holiday or holiday weekend.
What kind of cameras do you use?
I’m a Nikon nut! I use professional Nikon equipment and I do have backups on site with me.
Should I hire a videographer?
I’m a little sentimental on this question. I love photography but video offers a side which photography isn’t able to complete. Video gives you the motion and sound of those you love around you! At the end of the day after everything is cleaned up and everyone has gone home, it will be nice to have photographs and video to watch.
