What should I do with my engagement session photographs?
I remember one of my very first weddings I did many moons ago and walking into the reception room. It was so awesome seeing all of my photographs from the bridal and engagement session sitting out there for everyone to see! Engagement sessions are awesome because they give you time to get to know your wedding photographer, how you all work together, and help you get use to the paparazzi! Then you get to have beautiful images which you can look fondly back on in years to come.
Here are some ways to display your photographs:
Coffee table book/album
The nice thing about an album is you can multiple images onto one page giving you more pictures to look at from your session. If you leave one side of the pages blank, you could have your guest sign the book. This really makes for a nice memento in the years to come.
As I mentioned earlier, it felt so great to see all my pictures on one of my first weddings. I got to see the reactions of the guest as they looked at them. In this technological world, we see the “likes” and “loves” when we post, but there is nothing better than seeing your family and friends actual face smiling or shedding a tear at the beautiful images.
Parents and grandparents albums/prints
You know how much your parents and grandparents love you! If there is anyone else in the world who would love your engagement session photos the most, it would be your parents and/or grandparents. Think about getting them a duplicate album or their favorite photograph to frame or put on canvas in their home.
It was really nice getting a holiday card from my friend after she got married. I didn’t have any photographs of her in her wedding dress. I know that sounds weird coming from the photographer, but sometimes when I go as a friend, I leave the camera at home so I can be present. I’m so glad she put her wedding pictures on her holiday card!
Why not display your session in your house? Do you like canvas, framed, or metal art work? Think about what styles you have in your house and get some of your favorite memories printed and display them in your house to enjoy!
That last photo is for the things to come!!!!
